How To Appreciate The To Do’s Of Being A Mom?
How to appreciate the to do’s of being a mom?? Are you pulled in a million directions? I feel like a yellow taxi cab. Sometimes, just knowing we are not alone in this journey of mom life makes us feel better.
I often complain about having to take the kids here, there and everywhere. Now, my daughter is going to be able to drive herself. No more mom needed to drive her places. The day of getting a car for your baby has finally come. She is turning 16! Where did the time go? Is this really happening? You’re happy, but you want to cry and keep crying because life is moving so fast.
Let’s look at some positives so the crying doesn’t start, right??
- She can pick her brother up from school.
- Groceries needed?? She has already offered, yaaay!
- She can get a job to help pay for things.
Worry- How to appreciate the to do’s of being a mom?
Then comes the worry. I talked to my mom the other day and asked her, how did you let me do all the things that you let me do? When flooded with worry and a set of nerves I have to remember a couple of important reminders. Who’s she is and that He will take care of her. I have to trust the Lord!
Proverbs 22:6 NKJV says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Letting Go- How to appreciate the to do’s of being a mom?
It is so hard to let go. But…you have to let them go so they can grow and bloom into the amazing person God created them to be. Pray for them to know what that is.
When kids are not home, you miss them so much! You are like, what do I do now?
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Psalm 127:3 NLT
God gave us children as a gift. Our job is to raise them up in the way of the Lord.

Sometimes I need to be reminded that children are a gift! All the to do’s that come along with being a mom will be gone one day. Try to enjoy all the taxi cab drives. Before you know it, they are grown.
Every minute with your children is truly a gift!
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for moms! Thank you for all that you teach us each and everyday through our kids to make us better. Help us all to enjoy all the “to do’s” of being a mom when life is crazy and hard and tiring. Jesus, bless us each day with strength and renewal so that we can be the best that we can be as a mom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
