Can the sun make you feel better? We have had rain for days now and today guess what happened? The sun came out! What a change in mood for all of us. I had to make an Aldi run today and everyone had a sweet spirit about them. Smiling ladies along with others giving their shopping carts away so others didn’t have to pay the 25 cents…so I gave mine away too.

What if every day was like today?

It was like Christmas time when everyone is in a good mood. You can just feel goodness in the air!

Isn’t it amazing how much we miss the sun when its gone. It can be a gloomy day when the sun is gone, but when that sun pops out it is an instant change.

This made me think about having Jesus, the Son with us and in us through the Holy Spirit. He is our light, our joy and our happiness. When we feel gloomy, we can try and think about all the good He has done for us.

He brings us joy, that feeling inside that is unexplainable sometimes. It can be a gloomy season of life and we can give that problem to Him and that joy feeling just comes in.

He and Me Story- Can The Sun Make You Feel Better

In Sunday School a few weeks ago, the teacher asked us if we wanted to share a He and Me story…something that Jesus did for us. Well, I just sat there and didn’t say a word, but as I thought about it, I have a He and Me story every day.

Right…I mean, is there not a day that goes by that we have a He and Me story? She challenged us to write down our stories. I took the challenge and I wrote down what all He had done for just a few days. I had a list and it wasn’t just little things, which those are special too, but these were big things that He had taken care of for me.

This was a great activity, try it if you like and see how it helps you. Sometimes, if I don’t write it down, I will forget and these daily blessings always need to be remembered! Keep your little paper close by and let those memories help you as you have those hard days.

Some days I really feel the weight of this world. I can stop and think about all the problems, all the what if’s, and waist all the precious time that we could be doing something productive, happy and for the glory of God.

The Son- Can The Sun Make You Feel Better

I need the Son everyday to get me through! He is always there no matter what the weather brings. He is always one prayer away. He knows before we even speak what is going on in our busy life. Remember, leave it with him and He can work in mighty ways!

We just have to trust Him. And, you will feel better for sure!

The encouragement verse talks about God being a sun! He is the light of the world!

Remembering the sun today and who brought it out…..The Son!

Matthew 5:16, NIV says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for the beautiful sun that you bless us with and how it does make us feel better. Most of all, thank you for your Son and how He can make us feel the best if we would give it all to you. Thank you for what you did for each one of us on the cross! Thank you for all you are doing now too! In Jesus’ name we love you, Amen!
