Recently, we have been doing lots of cooking and my daughter baking. Well, more times than ever, I have not had an ingredient and really didn’t want to go to the grocery store. Do you hate going as much as I do? My husband loves to go, so I am thankful for that, but I would rather run a race than go.

My Mom Usually Has It

Having my mom live just a couple minutes away is a true blessing. Usually, I give her a call and she usually has what I need. Now, how in the world she does, but she usually has that ingredient on hand or something that will work.

The other day I needed a chili sauce, now how in the world did she have that? But, she did.

I have a good friend that has the magic purse. She has anything and everything you may need while out and about. An ache or a kid that has a boo boo! She’s got it in the purse!

I love that! Being prepared is so key as a mom and as a Christian!

He Speaks- God Always Has What We Need

God always has what we need in life. No matter if we are down, confused or worried, He has it. As I learn more and more about His ways, I see that if I get quiet, He speaks.

If I get still, He speaks. Getting in HIs Word, getting quiet and being still….which is so hard, but that is when I hear Him. I will be honest, reading has never been my favorite. Skimming the books needed to read for school was what I did sometimes, not good!

But, even if I take just one verse that speaks to me and keep it in my heart for that day, what a difference that can make.

Try it and see how God works in your day!

Everyday is a challenge! As a Christian, get ready and prepare yourself for each day. Put on the full armor of The Lord because we need it.

The Armor of The Lord

Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
