Easy Make Ahead Cookie Dessert
Easy, make ahead cookie dessert is the perfect go to for needing a quick dessert. This is one of my all time favorites and everyone loves it. I was asked to bring a dessert for church this Sunday and even though I had to stop by the grocery store on Saturday night and get the ingredients, I didn’t mind because of the simplicity of this sweet treat!
I have been making this dessert for years and it is so good and so simple! Sometimes we just need an easy dessert for a family cookout, church social or an at home dessert for the family. This one is it!
It would be a great plan ahead to keep these ingredients on hand for when you need something on a whim. Don’t worry, if you are like me and that rarely happens, you can simply pick this up on the way home and you will be ready for making an amazing dessert!
This is one of those desserts that looks so much more complicated than what it really is. Those are the best….where is the flour to sprinkle on my face?

Ingredients- Easy Make-Ahead Cookie Dessert
- Milk
- Cool Whip
- 2 Packs Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Chocolate Syrup

Tools
- 9 x 13 Baking Dish
- Use any dish that is close to this size, you really can’t mess this one up.
- Bowl
- A cereal bowl size will work just perfect!
Instructions- Easy Make-Ahead Cookie Dessert
Start by dipping your cookies into the milk and lining the bottom of your 9×13 pan. Be quick when you dip, because the cookie gets soft and you want to get it dipped and out before it crumbles.
Next, layer with 1/2 the Cool Whip. Then, repeat with another layer of cookies dipped in milk.

Then, another layer of Cool Whip. Smooth this layer to make it look pretty.
Take 2-3 cookies and crumble all over the top. Get creative, you can also take whole cookies and place on top, no rules here.
Top it off with a swirl of chocolate syrup, any design you want. The more the merrier!

Refrigerate overnight and enjoy the next day.
Can you make it the same day without overnight refrigerating?
Yes, just refrigerate for a couple of hours. I’m last minute too, so you will be just fine. LOL!

Other Cookies Options
Can you use another cookie? Yes, Oreo cookies are another great option to use for this dessert.
I used store brand cookies this time and they worked great. Cookies are so expensive these days. The original Chips Ahoy was the kind I originally used for this recipe. Either one tastes fantastic!
Tips
You can make this recipe in any dish you want. If you go with a bowl dish that is not as long, just do another layer of two. It’s very versatile! You can even make individual desserts in little square dishes. Very cute and your kiddos will love it!
