2025 New Year Resolution The Christian Challenge
2025 New Year Resolution The Christian Challenge. Everything is go, go, go! The busier the better, right? This past year went by so fast. Our family has been busier than ever. A day at home with nothing to do was something I longed for many times. We would have “things” to do, “good things,” but boy were we struggling for some home time!
As I think about this past year and all that has happened and the new year ahead, what do I want to do different? What should I do different? Most importantly, what does God want me to do different?
God’s Plan
This verse is so true, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV. As I shared my faith story of how God changed both career paths for my husband and I, I am still amazed at what He did. Never in a million years would I have thought of leaving my banking career.
My life was good, I was making good money and I just knew in my mind that I was going to retire from the bank. I had it all planned out. Until…..
Well, God had other plans, much better, bigger, plans. His plans.

Here I am, 9 years later. Seeing God work through and through that situation I know that He did that for our family and I will always be grateful. Today, I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. Lol! I just want to be where God wants me to be.
It’s funny to think about. I was in the mindset of staying with a company and retiring from there, because that’s just what you do. And, today, I am looking for my next adventure with The Lord.
Now, I say this, but I struggle every single day to stay on track. It’s not easy. As a Christian, it is so hard to keep your focus. It is a daily walk with The Lord. Trying to read your Bible and understand it all. Praying, lots of talks with Jesus. But, with Him, He makes a way. He made us and He knows what we need to keep going in His plan.
Trusting In Him- 2025 New Year Resolution The Christian Challenge
If we had not trusted Him, boy what we would have missed in the lives of our precious children. They are now 9 years older than they were at the time. Wow, as I write that it makes me cry. Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
The Challenge
Are you happy in your job? Do you feel God calling you in a different direction and you wonder….How?? That’s what I did. How in world can I leave my job and possibly make less money, but be happier?
If this is you? If so, just trust Him and His ways. Pray for Him to make a way and take one day at a time seeking His perfect plan. He will make a way. You can do it with Jesus.

The Usual Resolution
Now, lets talk about all those other resolutions I need to work on. I’m going to put this out there for some accountability for myself. Weight loss. I need to lose some weight. But, I have to admit, we love to eat in this house if you know what I mean.
In the past, I would look for that diet that I thought was easy to follow and try that one out. Deep down, I know what I need to do. It’s simple, but not fun. Eat healthy, exercise and drink water. How hard can it be?
I used some Christmas money to order a walking pad so I can walk inside this winter and see how it goes. I’m giving myself 3 months before I give up. We will see how it goes! I will keep you posted on my progress.
I will have to say….when you eat healthy, drink water and exercise, you feel good. All of these things equip you for success in all areas of life. You have a better attitude, you are more motivated and you have more energy.
A good attitude goes a long way!

Prayer – 2025 New Year’s Resolution The Christian Challenge
Dear Lord, please help us to be ALL that you have called each of us to be in 2025! Help us to trust when we don’t understand and know and believe that you have your BEST in store for us. I thank you dear Jesus for what you did for our family and for directing us in a new way of living. Help anyone reading this to know and believe that with You, they can too! We love you and thank you for what you are going to do! In your precious name, Amen.
