How To Step Out In Faith- Part 1

How to step out in faith? Have you ever felt God calling your life in a different direction? At the same time, wondering how in the world this crazy idea could be possible? Read my faith story below. This is a time in my life when I stepped out in FAITH, trusted God and He made a way!

About 9 years ago, God placed on my heart a different direction for my life. Our life was good, just had baby #2, successful careers and then something happened.

Is This How God Wants Us To Live

After my son was born, I stayed out of work for 3 months. After going back to work as a Bank Manager it was difficult getting back in the swing of things.  It was different than coming back with my first child.  During this time, God began to show me things that made me question, is this really how God wanted us to live?  My husband picked the kids up in the evenings and it would be 6:30 or later before he got home. Rushing to eat super, complete homework and get baths, the madness would start all over the next day.

Hope Shows Up- How To Step Out In Faith

How in the world am I going to find a job making the same income with less hours? I still began to look and nothing was working out, but still the burden was there.  So I told God that if this is what he was wanting for my life, then he was going to have to do it.  After seeking and searching, a job possibility came to me.  It was a job opportunity that an organization was creating, but not right then. This news gave me hope! God knew I needed that.

Prayer Changes Things

During this time, burdened to leave my job, my husbands job as a Branch Manager is beyond terrible. The company sold out to another company and the stress level that they were placing on him was tremendous.  He came home every day stressed to the max and drained. His health was concerning me.  We began to pray and we began to look for other job opportunities for him as well.

Let Go And Let God- How To Step Out In Faith

Know that when we let go and let God work, he showed up.  God knew because my husband’s job situation was worse than mine that I would not take a new job without my husband’s opportunity coming first. Praise Jesus, he was blessed with a job in August of that year with great hours and I was blessed with a job in September that same year with the flexibility needed for my children.

Trusting In God

Knowing these job opportunities were sent from the Lord, they were perfect for our family at this time in our life! But what about the financial part?  The hours were great, but the pay was less. A lot less! Trusting in The Lord, knowing this was what He had for us, we stayed the course. The Lord showed me creative ways to make the numbers come closer in our budget.  For the record, the numbers never did balance, but faith stepped in.  Today, 8 years later with God leading our path, He has made a way!  Has it been easy? No, but he has helped us every step of the way! Praise The Lord for his faithfulness!

Thank You JesusHow To Step Out In Faith

God showed us that our children needed us more than we needed a corporate job.  Working those long, stressful hours, my family was getting the worst part of my day. Missing precious memories that could have been made.  Today, the memories we make with the extra time is priceless!  God, reveled that once that time is gone, you can’t get it back. But, those crazy hours you can work later.

PRAYER FOR YOU

Dear Jesus, I pray for the person that is reading this prayer right now that they would be blessed in a mighty way. Lord, I pray that you would speak to their heart and let them know your perfect plan for their life. Give them the bravery to step out in faith to be able to live the abundant life that you have for each one of us. If we will accept it. I love you Jesus, thank you for ALL you have done, are doing and will do for all of us….Your very best! Amen.

“For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
