How to Find Peace In This Walk of Life

How to find peace in this walk of life? When I was a little girl, we had this ceramic Christmas tree that I loved so much!  It had all different colored lights on it.  They looked like the old timely colored strand lights used to be.  It was the best!

We usually kept it on a high shelf in our hall closet. I would climb up the shelves to get it, but I had to be very careful. The tree was in two pieces, a top and a bottom.  The bottom had a regular light bulb in it and it was electric. For some reason, the light bulb was crooked. Who knows, we probably did something to it! What a miracle it still worked.

Oh, how I love to decorate for Christmas!  I can really get with it and maybe over do it? However, as the years pass, I am wanting to decorate with my meaningful items. The ones you want to remember!

The Aldi Find- Finding a Christmas Memory

Our family went to Aldi to pick up groceries needed for those who had been affected by a terrible storm.  Some lost all that they had and it is truly devastating.  During this trip to Aldi, I made the mistake of walking down the isle you don’t walk down. Especially when you are on a mission. Do you know which isle I’m talking about?

The isle that has all the wonderful items on it that you really don’t need, but want, that isle! While I was looking for handheld can openers, there it was on the top shelf. Something that took me back to my childhood Christmas memories. Over on the top shelf was a Christmas tree that looked almost like my childhood tree.  I could not believe it!  I showed my husband and I must have been lit up like a light bulb because he said, “Go ahead and get it because it will be gone!”  After going back and forth about how I don’t need it, I got it.

Two years ago, I had gotten mini Christmas trees, similar to this one, for me, my brother and my sister. Those trees were ordered from LTD, but it wasn’t the same.  It just didn’t give me that feeling.

Finding The Way- How to Find Peace in This Walk of Life

Do you know how it is to look for something and until you find it, things are just not right. I thought about this and our walk with Jesus. Until you find Him, things really are not right. We don’t have that peace that passes all understanding. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, its like finding that Christmas tree, it lights you up! It’s a light from the inside out! You can’t explain it, but when you feel it, you understand.

Jesus Is The Way

Have you tried to find peace in other ways with no luck? Just know, Jesus is only one prayer away. It is that simple. We will question it and wonder if we really got it, but if we believe it and put our faith in Him, we got it. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, learn more here about how you can!

Peace That Passes All Understanding- How to Find Peace in This Walk of Life

Before we become a Christian, we can search for that replacement of peace, that peace that passes all understanding, the peace that only He can provide.  Nothing can make us complete like knowing Jesus.  He gave His all for us. John 3:16 NKJV says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

A Few Thoughts And Extras

I went back the very next day to get my brother and sister one of the big Christmas trees! I flew in there and this is what I found. The shelf was empty. I should not have waited to get theirs. Don’t wait on finding Jesus.
