How to not worry as a Christian
How to not worry as a Christian? Do you worry? I do! I wished I didn’t, but I do. It seems that life is full of worry these days.
Waste Of Time- How to not worry as a Christian
Have you ever noticed when a worry comes at you, the more you worry about it, the worse the situation gets. When you look back after all the dust settles, you think, why did I worry? God made a way just like He did the last time! Praise The Lord, He is good and He is faithful!
But why, in the middle of the worry does it seem completely impossible?
Don’t Worry, Read His Word Instead
Read His Word! Instead of worrying about the “what if’s” that may never even happen, read the truth! A few years ago, I was going through a very hard time, having MRI’s on my brain and worrying about all the “what if’s” that were going through my head.
One day, I remember thinking…..what if everything is ok? Thank you Lord for reminding me of that “what if!” The hope that you give us by trusting in you and your perfect plan that you have for each one of us.
I thank you Jesus for letting everything with all of those tests be ok!
Don’t Worry, Pray- How to not worry as a Christian
Sometimes, I just talk to God and let Him know where I am. He already knows anyway, but He wants to hear from us. He wants us to talk to him about our worry. Not that we can’t talk with our family and friends about it, but sometimes going straight to the helper simplifies things. It takes less energy too!
If we take it to God, He can give us true peace. I am reminded that Jesus went to the Cross so I didn’t have to worry. Why do I not trust Him enough to take care of my situation at times?
He has it all worked out and His way is always best. There is a purpose, a plan and a promise to always be with us through the storms. We will have hard times, but He will be there with His hands held out if we will grab hold!
Don’t Be Anxious
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

Don’t Worry About Your Life- How to not worry as a Christian
Matthew 6:25-34 NIV says, “‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.'”

Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for helping me in my worry. Please forgive me for the time that I waste worrying. Help us each one not to worry and let our joy be stolen for that day! You have so much good in store for us. Help us to leave our worry at the foot of the cross, trust in you and be a light for this world! In Jesus name, Amen.
Let Your Light Shine
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
